» IT Service Delivery
Consists of the following teams:
Service Support
Providing a central Service Desk focussing on the provision of support , advice and guidance to individual customers (staff and students) to include learning resources, IT or Audio-Visual, Procurement of IT or Audio Visual Resources covering all sites.
Solution Design & Delivery
Engaging with stakeholders across the University to facilitate the design and delivery of IT solutions that will improve how things are done. Whether there is an idea to be progressed, or a problem to be solved, we can offer Project Management, Business Analysis & Process services to enable this.
Governance & Sustainability
Providing guidance to staff and students about IT and Data Security, Freedom of Information and adhering to current legislation.
In collaboration with the wider University, work towards reducing the University's environmental impact.
» IT Operations
Consists of the follwing teams:
Platform Development & Deployment
Responsible for procurement, development, deployment and maintenance of the University's managed platforms, messaging and collaboration tools via centrally managed systems. These include exchange email, SharePoint, platform operating systems, application delivery, patching and antivirus, workstation & user policies and rights
Corporate & Academic Applications
Responsible for procurement, development and maintenance of a portfolio of application and data management services to support the University's teaching and learning and management needs.
Technology Infrastructure
Providing the foundation for the University: the network - for both phone and IT use; central services, such as e-mail, internet and file storage; and a service to develop and maintain run the institution's systems.
» Divisional Operations
Responsible for the purchasing of all IT equipment for the University. The team also provide internal administration, Finance and HR services to the Department.
» Service Improvement
Providing project management support to major internal projects, monitoring performance metrics and KPIs, engaging with suppliers to ensure value for money.
