Making your own way to Derby and Buxton

If you are not using the meet and greet service please let us know when you are arriving in the UK so that we can contact you and support you in your journey to the University.

Please remember, we have two campuses, one in Derby and one in Buxton. Please check which campus you are studying at, so that you travel to the correct campus when you arrive in the UK.

Below is information on how best to reach the University when travelling independently. If you are travelling independently please still provide us with your information by using the meet and greet booking form to enable us to keep in contact with you.

Buying train tickets

If you're travelling by train, always buy your ticket before getting on the train. If there's no ticket office at the station when you catch the train, you will need to buy one on the train.

You can buy train tickets in advance online - they can be cheaper than if you buy them on the day that you are travelling.
