We have a wide range of courses that you can study and offer traditional postgraduate and undergraduate alongside pre-sessional English and progression courses designed specifically for the international market. You can study full time, part time or, for about 30 of our courses, online. Wherever possible, our courses will be accredited or endorsed by relevant professional bodies.
We offer international students a variety of study options including;
- on campus (experience UK student life)
- online (stay at home but get a UK education)
- partnerships (study one of our courses at one of our partnerships in your own country)
- progression partners (start at one of our progression partners in your country and then come to Derby to complete or continue your studies).
We enjoy a top ten ranking for our Tourism, Transport and Travel courses (Guardian University Guide 2012) and have courses with internationally recognised accreditations including ACCA, CIM, CMI and CIPD and many more. Over half of our research is ranked as ‘of international excellence’ and some even as ‘world class’.
Studying part time with online distance learning
The University of Derby is one of the UK’s leading universities for online distance learning.
If you choose to study through online distance learning, you will be part of our online student community. All of your learning materials will be available online, giving you the flexibility to fit your studies around your existing work life commitments, and you’ll be fully supported by our expert online tutors and dedicated customer support team.
Studying your course via online distance learning enables you to qualify with a UK university degree without having to leave your home country – there is no distinction that you have studied online.
Improving your English
If English is not your first language and you want to improve your skills, you can take one of our English language courses, which will help you when you start your degree.
Study abroad and exchange programmes
There are a number of student exchange opportunities. If you are already studying at Derby and want to study at another institution inside Europe, you can become a part of the Erasmus programme.
