My name is Mateusz Pilecki and I am from Poland
I am on my first year of International Business Management.
University is placed in great spot
We can get there by Unibuses every 10 minutes!
If we are not in rush we can go back from uni to city centre in approximately 25 minutes.
Uni is a great organisation
If we have any question we can go to the reception and helpful employees will help us for sure.
Uni has a lot of rooms, but there is no problem finding where we want to go.
I like my course mostly because of our tutors
They are always available for students. If we have any problem they help us to solve it. They are our friends.
I can recommend International Business Management for everybody who likes a bit of maths, a bit of marketing, a bit of social science, and a bit of foreign languages.
Derby as a city is really nice
We can find here almost everything we want.
Starting from libraries, through gyms, football pitches, leisure centres, one of the biggest shopping centres in East Midlands (called Westfield) – yes women love it!
We have a lot of beautiful parks as well – for relaxing after hard day at uni.
It has to be mentioned that in one night it is not possible to visit every pub in the city centre!
In my spare time I go to the gym three or four times per week. Every Friday I play at Willows Sports Centre in students' soccer league having a lot of fun there with my uni mates.
Of course, I work for part time as a waiter to earn money for small expenses.
I think English people are one of the most kindest in Europe
They say “sorry” even if it is your fault!
We can taste a bit of history here
Travelling by bus, we can visit Nottingham – capital of Robin Hood’s stories.
I have not expected anything more. I enjoy my stay here.
England cares much more than Poland about students
As I said before our tutors are our friends, they reply for every single email with our problem.
My course leader told us: “Call me Uncle Dave, I will help you even if thing is hopeless”. And it is true he saved us many times.
To be honest Uni of Derby was the best choice ever
I did not think that studying here could be so attractive.
I have time for friends, education, job, hobbies. What else do I need?
