My name is Huo Siyang and I'm from China
I'm studying BA Business Studies and I'm nearly graduating.
Derby is a quite nice, clean and quiet city
And when I first came to Derby, I felt people here are more friendly than I thought, and the atmosphere in the University is great.
And, I found that Derby is a very historical city, nice environment, friendly people.
My programme leader gave me a lot of tips about studying in the UK
The first two years, I was studying HND Business Management, and Kuldeep was my programme leader. He is very nice and he gave us a lot of tips on studying in UK, because the way students are learning here is quite different from students in China.
We used to have lots of exams in China, but students here are learning quite independently.
So, in order to get used to the way students are learning here, I used to go to learning centres when I'm free to read more books about my modules and language books as well.
I came to here through the link of Derby Uni and No. 61 Middle School in Beijing
There were also seven students came with me together. We used to study Business English course together, which was very helpful for the improvement of our English.
