It's easy to get a UK SIM card, or sign up to a UK mobile phone contract
When you get here, you will probably want to use a UK SIM card in your mobile phone or you may want to sign up for a UK mobile phone contract - it's easy to sort out, just go into a mobile phone shop and it can usually be sorted out while you wait.
You may need to show your passport when you buy your SIM card or set up your mobile phone contract.
If you want to make an international call, it is generaly cheaper to use Skype (you need an internet connection). Calling people who are also on Skype is free.
