My decision to study computer games production at Derby has been very fruitful. I have learned lots about the industry in general, as well as the technical aspects of games production.

What is life in Derby like for me?

A typical week in Derby is usually very busy for me, but also enjoyable...

Monday

I do not have any lectures on a Monday, so I spend time looking at any previous assignments which are due in. I also go to the supermarket for grocery shopping, do some cooking and talk to my family and friends. Mondays are also good for student nights out in Derby, so I sometimes go out on a Monday evening.

Tuesday and Wednesday

I work part-time on a Tuesday and Wednesday from 12pm - 4pm, and I have lectures from 6pm - 9pm. I am usally tired when I get home, so I have a quick dinner and relax!

Thursday

I have two lectures from 2pm - 5pm and 6pm - 9pm on a Thursday. After finishing my lectures I usually go out in Derby with my friends for a few drinks, usually at the Jazz bar.

Friday

I do not have any lectures or part time work on Friday, so I spend a bit of time relaxing, listening to music and doing some studying. I always catch up with my family on a Friday, and often go out for a walk.

Saturday

I usually try to finish all of my university assignments on Saturday. Occasionally, I will leave Derby on a Friday for a weekend trip to another UK city.

Sunday

I work on Sundays from 12pm - 4pm and I spend the rest of the day relaxing.
