I am responsible for recruiting students and building international partnerships in the Indian Sub-Continent and West Africa. I also support my colleagues in the Partnership Office and the Online Distance Learning team.
What I can help with
- Recruiting international students from the Indian Sub-continent and West Africa
- Representing the University at Education UK exhibitions and agent fairs
- Making partnership visits to schools, colleges and universities in the Indian Sub-Continent and West Africa
- Giving presentations and seminars to raise the profile of the University
- Recruiting and managing agents
- Answering questions about overseas qualifications, institutions and education systems, international fees, visas and immigration, UK Border Agency Regulations relating to working in the UK and welfare issues relevant to overseas students.
My background
I am from India. I gained my MBA from the University of Wales in Newport, and a Mechanical Engineering degree from Bharathiar University in Coimbatore, India.
I was the General Manager of a student recruitment agency based in Aberdeen, which represented 18 UK institutions. As well as English, I am a native speaker of Tamil and also speak Telugu and a little Hindi, Malayalam and German.
