About this module
This module supports the process of accreditation whilst also enabling you to undertake a piece of scholarly work that will further prepare you for professional practice, support professional development and be a prerequisite for Doctoral level study in the future.
The module reflects the complexity of the interaction of many different aspects of counselling, psychotherapy and therapy practice. There will be an emphasis on the continued development of theoretical learning, advanced development of clinical skills and an emphasis on independent scholarship. Independent study will focus on both the use of research to support the development of a therapeutic style and the development of an evidence based review of contemporary theory or a small scale research project.
