Siobhan Neary is Principal Researcher (Career Development) overseeing its CPD and teaching activities. Siobhan has a background in the guidance sector which encompasses more than fifteen years working as a practitioner, trainer, manager and lecturer. She has a portfolio which includes work on quality and CPD with a range of providers including the voluntary sector, higher education and prisons.

She has an extensive background in teaching and learning in relation to guidance and career management and has developed a number of programmes to support practitioners these include: career management courses, careers education and guidance studies at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. Siobhan is the pathway leader for the Masters Programme in Guidance Studies and takes the lead in developing the Centre's bespoke work-based development programmes, including Advanced Interview skills Next Step Services. Her research interests include quality, continuing professional development for guidance practitioners and the practitioner/researcher.
