Work Based Learning Opportunities

Students Graduation Ceremony

Studying with the Centre has increased my knowledge of the guidance process, which has provided me with an improved insight as to why clients come with different attitudes to guidance interviews

The Centre recognises the need for individuals to have more flexibility in how they manage and develop their professional knowledge, skills and capabilities. As a result, we have worked in partnership with a number of organisations to develop bespoke CPD programmes to enable students to obtain accreditation for work based activities.  Each programme currently consists of two 15 credit modules; the first is a theory module and the second is a work based project. The programmes are accredited at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels and students successfully completing the programme will be awarded a University Certificate of Achievement at the appropriate level.

Participants undertaking the work based learning programmes can be awarded a University Certificate of Achievement.

In today's society individuals have to manage and develop their professional knowledge, skills and capabilities in order to progress. As a result, iCeGS has worked in partnership with organisations to develop bespoke continuous professional development (CPD) programmes to support individuals to obtain accreditation for work based activities. iCeGS programmes and programmes under development include:

  • Managing Careers Education and Guidance
  • Developing Your Career Guidance Skills
  • Advanced Professional Practice for advice and guidance workers
  • Career education, information advice and guidance (CEIAG) certificate programme
  • Advanced Diploma in Managing Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance
  • Certificate in Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance

All awards attract university accreditation from foundation to postgraduate level. Where appropriate, a university certificate of achievement can also be awarded.
