iCeGS work with the Sector Skills Council - Improve
12 May 2011
Improve , is the Sector Skills Council for Food and Drink Manufacturing and Processing (FDMP) and has a vision to deliver 'World class skills for a world class sector'. iCeGS, alongside our fieldwork partners, JRA are working with Improve to explore how young people perceive the FDMP sector in particular, and how their occupational attitudes are informed and develop as they progress through school and into further and higher education. The project will also be exploring the differential impact of a range of modes of labour information interventions including use of the internet, access to labour market information, media campaigns and informal and embedded learning. Our work involves securing the perspectives of young people, their teachers and parents alongside those of key stakeholders from the sector, learning providers and career guidance professionals. The outputs from this research will be used to inform the engagement strategy of Improve and its partners in the food supply chain.
