The BBC News at Ten investigated and reported on current changes to careers advice for young people in England. Cuts to funding across the country and funding being absorbed into Local Authorities has resulted in the closure of many connexions services and thousands of job losses within the sector. In turn, cash strapped schools are being expected to take on responsibilty for sourcing IAG professional advice, but have been given no further money to make this possible. This is in the context of one in 25 young people currently being out of work. The report closes with interviews of a school headmaster and business leader expressing their concern at the current state of affairs.

The report can be seen here.
