The BBC are running an interesting series on Radio 4 called 'When I grow up'. The series reflects on the findings from a longitudinal study of children born in 1958. At age 11 the children were asked to write a short essay about how their lives would be at age 25. Each programme in the series looks at the aspirations of a number of the children when they were 11 and interviews them now at age 52 to discover what has happened in the meantime in terms of life and career development and what the influences have been. Members of the iCeGS team have been avidly listening to the series and discussing the findings as they reveal some interesting trends and are examples of the practical application of decision making theory.
The programme is aired at 9.30 on Tuesday mornings and is also available on iPlayer'
