Huw Davies - Transitions Revisited/Format Photography Festival

In 1986 I spent 12 months working on an Arts Council funded residency at Derbyshire College of Higher Education (later to become the University of Derby). The project was part of 'UK Industry Year' and I photographed at over 30 companies in Derby documenting the workforce and their surrounding environment.

In 2007 I returned to Derby to work at the University as Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Design & Technology. As part of Format International Photography Festival 2013 I am currently trying to re-establish contact with the original subjects in the photographs in order to find out more about their working lives, what they did subsequently and what they are doing now over 25 years later.
