For many years, the Theatre Arts department at the University of Derby has led a strong playwriting and 'writing in action' strand in its course and the revival of the Studio Theatre provides the perfect forum for trying and testing students' work. Working behind the scenes of the main auditiorium of the Derby Theatre, the students rehearse hard to produce first class productions.
