An inspirational learning environment

History

Our BA (Hons) History programme has achieved 100% in the National Student Survey for overall satisfaction with the course, for the last two consecutive years.

Derbyshire is home to a wealth of nationally and internationally historic places and museum collections including:

  • Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site
  • Kedleston Hall
  • Calke Abbey
  • Chatsworth House
  • The Joseph Wright Gallery in the City Museum
  • Pickford's House

We also often visit places like the Imperial War Museum, the National Archives, the National Gallery, the Cabinet War Rooms, Apsley House and the National Portrait Gallery.
