We knew they had talent - and we were over the moon when they won the BBC competition. Mitchell and Webb are not only superb comedians - they clearly have excellent taste in scriptwriters."
Dan said, "Studying at Derby gave us the opportunity to show off our material in the real world. I had my first script commission whilst studying there and I've not looked back."
Jon added, "The great thing about Derby is that you're mixing with professional writers who are teaching for the love of the subject. This atmosphere of enthusiasm for writing of all kinds inspires you to try things you'd never have even considered before."
Dan and Jon now write for the BAFTA award winning That Mitchell and Webb Look and E4'S School of Comedy. They sometimes come into the University to share their secrets and tips for success in the form of a masterclass with our current students.
