”The University is in a highly competitive market, one in which there is constant change. Therefore, continuous development for our people is crucial, not only to ensure we perform to our optimum but also that our staff are able to maximise their talents and realise their potential.
The Organisation and People Development Team (OPD) is responsible for identifying and actioning the priority areas for development. We are leading on several exciting and challenging strategic objectives which are clearly aligned with the University's vision and goals;

We offer an extensive range of internally organised events and offer generous staff discounts on our accredited courses that we deliver as a University.
Current members of staff can access our Staff development pages as outlined below;

- Once logged in to UDo, then please go to the Staff Development quick link in the right hand menu at the bottom of the front page
- From here, you can view all OPD services, including My Learning & Development where you can view any dated courses
- To book, you still need to email staffdevelopment@derby.ac.uk to request a place.
