As we employ so many different types of people, a 'one size fits all' reward system just wouldn't work. That's why we've developed our 'Total Reward' programme to ensure that not only do we offer something of value to everyone, but we also recognise and reward individual contribution. 'Total Reward' is more than just about pay. It's about the value of everything you get in return for working at the University of Derby. Some of the rewards available include a final salary pension scheme, childcare vouchers and various travel, leisure and retail benefits, as well as a generous holiday entitlement.
We also celebrate staff achievement in a number of ways. We have two award ceremonies every year: the Excellence Awards, which reward and recognise innovation or achievement, and the Loyalty Awards, which is our way of saying a special 'thank you' to those who have been with us for more than 20 years. We also promote a Local Recognition Scheme, where you could receive a High Street Voucher on the spot by your manager for going that extra mile. It's just our way of saying thank you.
