Equality and Diversity Scheme
The University has an equality scheme which sets out how we intend to meet our statutory duties under the Equality Act 2010. The scheme was produced in consultation with staff, students and stakeholders and was approved by the Corporate Management Team in April 2010.
The action plan has been adopted by all Faculties and Departments. The Equality and Diversity Committee reports on the progress of meeting the actions through its annual report each year.
Previous Equality Schemes
Before we produced our current equality scheme, we were required to have three separate schemes and action plans for disability, race and gender. In addition, we produced a scheme for age and religion and were working on a sexual orientation scheme before we decided to join them together as one.
