The University is proud to host the NHS and Rethink's Human Library event in the Atrium for the third year in succession. The event is held to mark Mental Health Awareness Day on 10 October 2012. There will be stalls, performances and a "human" library.

Stalls include Disability Direct, Derbyshire Friend, University of Derby Student Wellbeing Service, Mental Health and Therapeutic Practice students, Amber Trust, Padley Group, Making Space, Enjoying Derby, Derbyshire Police, Derby and Derbyshire Race and Equality Commission, Rethink, P3, First Steps, Well Being Works, Upbeat Communities, All About You (therapists), Spiral Arts, Rhonda Haslam - jewellery making

Further support for employees of the University

A development session for staff entitled "Mental Health in the Classroom; Improving Student Engagement and Performance" has been arranged to further support this event. The training is taking place on Wednesday 17 October from 2 - 3.30 pm at Kedleston Road.
