We are pleased to be celebrating the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHO day) on 17 May by hosting a number of events at the University:

12 noon Rainbow Flag at Reception, Kedleston Road
Philip Plowden, Pro Vice Chancellor and Equality Champion, will raise the Rainbow Flag outside Reception and say a few words.
The flag will also be flying at our Buxton campus all day
12 - 2 pm Stalls, Activites and Music in Atrium, Kedleston Road
Stalls including UoD LGBTF Society, UDSU Athletic Union, Derbyshire Friend, Derbyshire Pride, Student Wellbeing Service, LGBT (Employee) Action Group, cupcake stall
Video "Team Derby Sports Charter" and activities from the Athletic Union
Music: Musicians giving live performances throughout the lunchtime period and D1 (Student Radio) broadcasting live
2 - 4 pm Film in Heap Lecture Theatre, Ked. Road
Introduction by Graham Rowe, Lecturer/Chair of LGB Employee Network
Film in Heap Lecture Theatre (Vote for your favourite from a choice of three)
4 pm Free Refreshments in Academy
Followed by free refreshments in the Academy (Student Bar)
