Bistro44, on the ground floor of the main building, is a bustling and extremely popular catering outlet serving students, staff and the people of Buxton who use the Devonshire for meeting friends, enjoying high quality food for lunch and conducting relaxed business meetings.
These real life culinary arts and hospitality training facilities offer unparalleled opportunities to develop your craft while benefiting from the combined expertise of Buxton’s teaching team.
Behind the scenes, there are seven professional kitchens: in addition to the training areas there’s an International and Development Kitchen; a Pastry and Bakery Kitchen; a specialist Larder Preparation Kitchen; and a Cookery Demonstration Theatre. The main Production Kitchen serves The Dome Fine Dining Restaurant.
All kitchens are equipped, with support from Electrolux and the Savoy Educational Trust, to the highest restaurant standards.
