Centre for Community Regeneration

Vision

The theme of the Centre for Community Regneration aims to capture the diversity of work being undertaken by individuals, families, society and those working with the community sector.

The Centre's members have strong links with a wide range of agencies including those from the community development and regeneration, social work and health and social care sectors.

The Centre for Community Regeneration aims to create an active and close working relationship with communities and the voluntary sector. This relationship is built on a framework that incorporates a diversity of work which includes:

  • research and analysis of issues and needs within communities
  • development of projects and resources evaluation tools, consultancy and training
  • strategic and advisory work that informs and advises the sector.

The intention is that this working relationship enables the University to have a high profile within disadvantaged local communities in order that barriers to accessing the university are reduced.
