We've got close links with major employers in the region, including Derby City, Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire, Stoke on Trent and Derbyshire local authorities, in areas associated with social work, youth and community work, and the voluntary sectors.
We have courses at both undergraduate and professional level. Our undergraduate courses allow you to be flexible in what you choose to study as you have the choice of a wide range of individual modules to personalise the degree to your own interests in that area. Our courses include Social Work and Health and Social Care.
There's also a work based route for our professional qualification in social work which includes e-learning modules. So, it'll really fit in with your work and family life.
You'll develop the skills, knowledge and values to become an effective, competent, ethical practitioner. You'll be ready for work in areas like social care, community, youth and social work.

We work at a local, regional and national level to provide evaluation, research and consultancy services in areas related to:
