Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Studying has empowered me to challenge established practices on the patients' behalf, and to be instrumental in making changes to improve provision.

Theresa Goldsmith who studied modules through the LBR route and gained her MSc Advanced Practice

CPD is a core element of every health and social care professional's development journey. There has never been a more important time for members of professional teams to ensure that they are up to date with the latest practice to benefit patients and clients, and to safeguard their future.

Modules to suit a range of professionals

We have CPD modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels (levels 6 and 7), which have all been tailored to meet the needs of practitioners and managers working within the health and social care sectors. We have modules to suit nurses, occupational therapists, hand therapists, radiographers, psychotherapists, and those working within complementary therapies.

Designed with you in mind

To meet all professional development requirements, our modules incorporate a range of teaching, learning and assessment strategies, with robust support and application to practice.

Our CPD courses include online distance learning and on campus options, so no matter what your preferred learning style or life commitments, you can find a study option that's right for you.

Studying through LBR?

It's possible to study many of our modules through learning beyond registration. Find out more or speak to our dedicated LBR team to see if you are eligible for funding, on 0800 678 3311 or lbr@derby.ac.uk
