Electoral register

It's time to make sure you are registered to vote. 

Students can be included in the electoral roll in both their home and University area.  There are important Police and Crime Commissioner elections accross the country on 15 November 2012 - and if you aren't registered, you won't be able to take part.

Derby students:

Derby City Council will automatically register you if you are living in halls of residence.  If you are living in other accommodation, you need to make sure you are registered to vote.

Buxton students:

You should receive an electoral register form in the post. If you want to register to vote in the police commissioner, local and parliamentary elections, complete the form and return it as soon as possible. If you have any further queries ring 0845 1297777 ext 2039.

Council tax

If you are a full time student you don't have to pay council tax, while you're living in halls of residence.
