What to do if you can't pay

Student getting advice

Unfortunately if you don't complete all the necessary paperwork and can't pay your hall fees, we won't be able to let you move into halls.

If you run into financial problems after you've moved in

Let us know as soon as possible if you're struggling to pay your halls fees. The sooner we know the sooner we can help you.

If you're a UK student

The staff in our Support and Advisory Service can give your guidance on managing your money and addressing your debts.

You can contact them on 01332 591311 (internal from halls - extension 1311) or by email: sas@derby.ac.uk

If you're experiencing exceptional hardship, you may be able to apply for help through the Access to Learning Fund.

If you're an overseas student

If you're an overseas student, contact Dr Ahmad Kabaha by email: overseasadvisor@derby.ac.uk, for advice, guidance and information.

Our Finance Department may also be able to help you

You can find the staff on the 5th floor of South Tower at Kedleston Road. Or you can contact them on 01332 591022 (internal from halls - extension 1022) or by email salesledger@derby.ac.uk
