Applying for a room

Rooms currently available at Derby and Buxton.

No more en suite rooms available at Derby halls for September 2013
There are still some en suite rooms available at High Peak Halls in Buxton.
Please make sure you take a good look at our other great room options and bear them in mind when when you make your application.

Make sure you've decided where you want to live and what type of room you want before you start your application.
You'll be able to submit four choices, and can choose to live in a single gender or mixed gender flat. (Remember single gender flats can still have visitors of the opposite gender.)

You'll need to leave two or three days between accepting your place at University and applying for a room in halls.
It's important that you read our booking terms and conditions before you apply.
If you're going to be under 18 when you move into halls read our guidelines

Check your computer is OK to use our system by reading our system requirements.
Turn off your 'Caps Lock' key and any language software programme you may be using.

To apply for halls you need to have key information to hand:

If you're going to be a new Derby student, and you've applied for University through UCAS, you can use your 10 digit UCAS personal ID number. This is the number UCAS gave you when you created your application to University.
If you're going to be a new Derby student but you didn't apply through UCAS, please use your 9 digit personal ID number which was sent to you with your University of Derby offer letter.
If you're already registered as a full time Derby student, you'll need your Personal ID number (nine digits) to apply for your room. This is your student identity number - you can find it on your student card, or on the letters you've received from us.
