At halls we focus on you
Socks, a feline friend that has been adopted at St Christopher's Court.
Halls of residence at Derby and Buxton are the only Student Halls owned, managed and accredited by the University of Derby.
Dedicated staff
As well as our team of friendly cleaners, we have Residential Assistants who are older students who know what it's like to be making new friends, learning to cook and balancing work and social life all at the same time. They're there to listen or offer friendly advice.
We also have on site security teams to make sure you and your valuables are looked after. And we've got Hall Managers and welfare staff who can support you with everything from homesickness to living in a specially adapted flat as a person with a disability.

Your wellbeing our focus
Our halls are a key part of settling into your life as a student at Derby so they are not just a place to live. We make sure that there are people on site to look out for you; to help you settle in, to answer your questions and to support you through the ups and downs of being away from home.
It's not all about the commercial side with us, it's about you being successful as a student at the University of Derby so making sure you're happy in our halls is really important.
Our halls have a dedicated Halls Wellbeing Co-ordinator, who is here to help you with any problems you may have. You can contact our Halls Wellbeing Co-ordinator via the wellbeing team
