University Status
The establishment of the University of Derby was approved by the Privy Council under the provisions of the Further and Higher Education Act on January 14 1993.
It was subsequently incorporated as a company limited by guarantee on July 7 1995. The Company Registration number is 3079282. The University became an exempt charity by order in Council made on November 30 1995 (SI 1995 No 2998).
