Nominations and Remuneration Committee
Terms of Reference
The function of the Nominations and Remuneration Committee is to advise the Governing Council on the appointment of the Chancellor, Independent Councillors, Members of the University Court and Senior Post Holders of the University.
The Governing Council has delegated to Nominations and Remuneration Committee the responsibility for determining the salaries, benefits and other terms and conditions of service (and where appropriate severance payments) of the holders of senior posts. NR Committee is required to report the outcomes of its deliberations on the remuneration of the senior post holders to a meeting of the independent governors in October each year.

- The Chairman of Audit and Risk Committee
- The Chairman of FEGC

Notes:
- The Senior Post Holders are defined as the Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Chief Executive & Finance Director, Pro Vice Chancellors (2) and the Clerk to the Governing Council.
- The Vice-Chancellor withdraws when her/his remuneration is under discussion.
- The Clerk only attends the discussion of nomination items.
- The Chairman keeps notes of the discussion of remuneration items.

Nominations and Remuneration Committee meets at least two times each year.
