Submission, Marking and Feedback – Update Seven
You
Said it we did it,
As
the project has developed we have been listening carefully to all of your
feedback. The latest ‘you said it we did it’
page shares some of the changes introduced as a result of your feedback.
Staff Survey
As part of the on-going evaluation of the project, staff who have used
the system will be invited to complete a user survey. This data will then
be used to refine the project where necessary. If you have been using
e-submission but have not received an invitation to participate in this
survey by 30th April, please contact your Faculty Learning Technology
Adviser. Before you take the survey please ensure you have read the ‘you said it we did it’
document so that you are aware of the work undertaken so far to respond to
issues and feedback.
Levels five, six and seven join in Phase 2 of the project in September
2012
To support this transition please ensure that you use the e-Submission
system with level 5 programmes where possible this semester to familiarise
your students and yourself with the system. You could set a submission
point up and simply get students to submit a reflection or find and critique
a relevant paper for your subject specialism. You don’t need necessarily to
mark work, the purpose of the exercise is to familiarise everyone with the
look, feel and functionality of the system prior to students’ move to level six in September. This is considered important
as those new level six students will be completing NSS in early 2012 - your
Faculty Learning Technology Adviser or School Learning and Teaching Adviser
can support you in this exercise.
Staff Development
If you were not involved in the level four roll out this year you will
need to undergo the mandatory staff development offered by the
Faculty Learning Technology Advisers. Additional dates and opportunities
are now available to book on the Staff Development
page on the project website and additionally the team will create bespoke
sessions for module, programme or subject teams as desired.
If you have any other questions relating to the points covered here,
e-Submission, online marking and feedback please contact the Faculty
Learning Technology Advisers. All previous communications are available on
the project website should you wish to re-read any of the information.
Thank you for your continued support.
