Privacy

For all surveys conducted as part of our Student Surveys campaign (the institutional UoDsurvey, the UDOL survey, the National Student Survey (NSS), the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) and the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES)) we ask for your student ID number, this is required to direct you to the survey you are eligible to complete. Please be assured that we won't use your ID to identify you as an individual, all feedback received is anonymised.

The National Student Survey is administered externally by Ipsos MORI - the University only receives anonymised, aggregated results. For more information please visit http://www.thestudentsurvey.com/privacy-statement.php.

In the UoDsurvey, UDOL survey, PTES and PRES surveys we ask for your student ID number, in addition to the above, this is used so we can analyse the results by different demographic breakdowns, for example by programme or mode of study, without having to ask for this information in the survey. Only aggregated results will be made available to University academic staff and only when more than 5 students have responded to the survey. Open comments will be anonymised before results are made available and only attributed to a programme when more than 10 students have responded to the survey.

All data we collect will be held securely. For further information please visit http://www.derby.ac.uk/its/policies for more info.
