Staff Development
With the involvement of all stakeholders and coordinated by the FLN, we aim to produce a coherent strategy for staff development for Technology Enhanced Learning, to ensure that staff have the skills required to support their students needs.
The sharing of knowledge, best practice and expertise across all these strands will increase awareness and develop new skills and expertise of online learning technologies and techniques. This will help build upon and extend the excellent practice that already exists in certain areas.
Latest Developments
A strategy for staff development for Technology Enhanced Learning is in production, which will be produced in concert with key institutional stakeholders such as our Quality Department, Central staff Development and LIS.
The FLN team have worked closely with the Assistant Deans to produce and deliver a practical and simple staff development needs analysis tool, which will inform priorities in each of the faculties. This has been delivered to academics in each of the faculties. The results of the needs analysis are informing the staff development strategy and plan.
Work is underway with appropriate stakeholders to embed Technology Enhanced Learning staff development within the Derby CPD programmes (within professional standards framework)
