We're at the heart of the events industry
Buxton is home to the Buxton Opera Festival and Fringe Festival in July each year. We also host major conferences and exhibitions at the Devonshire Campus and regularly involve our students in major events being staged in the nearby cities of Derby, Manchester, Sheffield and Nottingham. So you'll be right where it's happening and experience real situations and case studies at first hand.
Hands on experience
We've got close links with the leading national and international employers in the events industry, so you will be at the cutting edge of what's going on. You'll also have the chance to put your learning into practice through accredited work experience.
Knowledgeable tutors
All of our tutors have lots of industry experience and they bring their real-life knowledge and skills into their teaching. We're also the founding member of the Association of Event Management Educators and so you can be sure that we really know what we're talking about.
