About the course


  • If you've got lots of experience in the events industry but haven't got any formal qualifications to show for it, this course will give you the chance to make a great addition to your CV.
  • We've developed this course in partnership with the key organisations in the events management industry, and it's co-funded by Leap Ahead, the Lifelong Learning Network for Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
  • This course is delivered online, so you'll be able to study at a time and place that's convenient for you.
  • As you're already working in the events industry, you'll be able to develop the knowledge and skills you use in your job by doing work based modules during this course. And as there will be other people working in different sectors of the events industry doing this course, you'll have the opportunity to network, and share ideas and experiences.
  • You'll study topics that you'll be able to use in your workplace straight away, such as health and safety and project management. And you'll choose from a wide range of modules, including marketing, finance and consultancy to help you to develop your knowledge and skills.
  • You'll study the Diploma in Events Safety Management, which we teach in partnership with Capita Symonds - one of the leading consultancies in the UK - as part of this course.

If you want to carry on studying and further your knowledge, this course will lead you to the final year of an honours course in events management.
