Learning Beyond Registration
Learning Beyond Registration (LBR) is a vital part of developing competent, capable health service practitioners prepared to deliver a dynamic, flexible, quality, client-focused service. If you're employed by the NHS in the East Midlands then you may be eligible for fee-free access to our LBR modules and/or programmes. You'll need to supply evidence of approval from your line manager and Trust Education Lead when you apply.
About this module
This module continues to develop and deepen your practice and applied theoretical understanding of a range of human psychological and emotional problems (taking into account the life span of the client) within the context of cognitive behavioural research evidence base.
Its purpose is to continue equip you with the knowledge, skills and professional behaviours to develop competency to practice as an autonomous cognitive behavioural practitioner and to broaden the focus to incorporate an understanding of the epistemology of research and the use of research methods, ethics and legal frameworks and other professional areas that are essential for competent professional practice and lifelong learning within a psychotherapeutic context.
Learning outcomes
On sucessful completion of this module you will be able to:
- Demonstrate appropriate, critical and effective Utilisation of the psychotherapeutic process and supervision.
- Critically reflect on the adequacy of ethical and legal frameworks for psychotherapeutic practice and how these can be used to develop the self as an ethical practitioner.
- Critically reflect, analyse and synthesis the contruction of knowlwdge research design and the application of research in applied psychotherapeutic contexts.
