2012's achievements

The University of Derby retained its First Class result in the People and Planet Green League finishing 25 out of 145 institutions. Although we dropped three places overall, we achieved 44.5 points this year compared to 40 points last year, so we have made progress which is encouraging.

Our achievement was recognised this year at a special awards ceremony in Westminster on 21 June 2012 when we joined representatives from the other 45 institutions who also attained a first class award. Pictured below receiving the award from Caroline Lucas, Leader of the Green Party are Lynn Richards (right) and Anne Downes (left).
