About the course
EIPD is a professional development programme designed, by the University of Derby Centre for Community Regeneration, specifically for workers in the Voluntary and Community Sector; including community activists engaged in developing projects and individuals working in community development and regeneration within the public or private sector.
The programme will involve 6 full days of attendance at the university during a 6 month period, backed up by study. You will complete a 'real life' project for your own organisation.
Your 'day sessions' will be backed up by personal tutorials and toolkit material available through our virtual learning portal.
You will graduate at the end of the course with an EIPD qualification at higher education level 5. The programme is worth 30 credits at level 5 (second year degree level equivalent). The qualification is recognised nationally and transferable with other degree programmes.
This will focus upon:
• workers and community activists within voluntary and community organisations operating in the Derby and Derbyshire area
• individuals working for similar organisations and partnerships (who may work or volunteer for the community, public and private sector)
