Our Open for Business exhibition showcases our young entrepreneurs' businesses

If you've answered YES to the above you may be eligible for Enterprise Inc support.

  • The Enterprise Inc programme for 2010/11 opens for applications on Monday 6 September. The closing date is Friday 1 October, 2010*

What is Enterprise Inc?

Enterprise Inc is aimed at improving the enterprise skills and entrepreneurship capability of 500 students and graduates across the East Midlands.

Derby is one of the nine Universities involved in this project. With funding support from HEIF, ERDF and emda, Enterprise Inc has been designed to encourage and support students who want to develop enterprising ideas into businesses.

Support package value worth over £5,000

If you're on a full or part time course in any subject here at Derby, if you have recently graduated, or are an academic looking at starting a business, you can apply for a place on Enterprise Inc. If successful you will benefit from a cash bursary of £2,490, along with £3,000 worth of generic and tailored business support to help your business succeed.

Individual development

Enterprise Inc focuses on your individual development and will be of benefit whether or not you ultimately develop your idea into a successful business.
