Our BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology and Practice is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT), so you can be sure that you’ll be getting the latest industry thinking as well as a professional qualification that will give you a real advantage in the graduate job market.
BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Venue Design was the first design course to be accredited by the Chartered Society of Designers, and will develop the knowledge and skills you’ll need to become professionally qualified. We have got a strong employment record with many graduates finding jobs both abroad and in the UK.
Our Architecture courses are based at Markeaton Street, just a short walk away from the city centre and the University’s main site at Kedleston Road. The site houses specialist equipment for technology, engineering, arts and design courses, and has some interesting design and construction features that control heat, maximise natural daylight and harness the heat from the sun. The Big Show
The Big Show is the University end of year Undergraduate Degree Show involving a series of live events and exhibitions across the city of Derby. Our Architecture students showcase their work at our Markeaton Street site. The Degree show offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience the very best of emerging contemporary art and design practice from our final year students. Their work explores the issues and subjects of today's world also looks ahead predicting and setting the trends of tomorrow.
