Don't wait until September, you can start many of our postgraduate taught courses in January
Here at Derby we've got a wide range of postgraduate courses starting in September or January, from one year professional qualifications like PG Certs to taught doctorates which you could study for up to six years. You can study in a way that suits you - full time, part time, or even online. Search for your course to find out specific details for the course you're interested in.
Why starting a course in January might be for you:
- If you need extra qualifications or professional development for your job sooner rather than later, courses starting in January are ideal
- Plenty of students at Derby start in January - so there'll be lots of other students in the same situation as you.
- Maybe with the new year coming, you want a new challenge and have only just thought about university qualifications.
- You can still graduate at the same time as everyone else - our graduation ceremony is held in January each year, so you won't be left out.
You can start a research degree at any time
If you are wanting to pursue a research degree, then there is no formal start date as you can start at any point throughout the year. View more information on the Research Office website.
