It's not too late to apply for our Forensic Science courses

If you've decided you want to study Forensics at university this September, but think you may have left it too late, don't worry! 

Why study Forensics at Derby?

• You can choose to study BSc Forensic Science or BSc Forensic Science with Criminology. Both courses are accredited by the Forensic Science Society and endorsed by Forensic Skillsmark.

• We've got a Forensic Science house and a Forensic Science car for you to learn the practical skills you'll need as a forensic scientist. And we're re-vamping our laboratories to provide a great learning resource for you.

• We hold a Class A drugs licence which means you will actually test real drugs to provide a realistic learning experience for you. And we have firearms which will provide hands-on training to ensure you're ready for your career in forensics. 

• You'll have the opportunity to go to a post-mortem in your final year and learn more about techniques in human identification.

Why do we still have places available?

• We're committed to training scientists of the future, so we've increased the number of students we can take this year. We'll still offer the high standard of teaching, great facilities and excellent support that you'd expect.
