Virtual anatomy laboratory

Fully equipped with an IT studio providing a virtual software studio alongside physical anatomy models for you to assess and discover anatomy.

Psychology and counselling suite

We have observation rooms equipped with two-way mirrors and DVD recording equipment, as well as group behaviour observation rooms and specialist counselling rooms.

Domestic living suite

This suite is designed for social workers and healthcare practitioners who are training others to help them to live independently. It includes assessment bathrooms, a fully adapted kitchen with a height adjustable sink and teaching area.

NHS standard six bed hospital ward

This ward has teaching facilities, camera recording and playback equipment in each bay. It also includes a nurse's station, patient bathroom, patient mobility equipment and electronic artificial patients to provide realistic training in a modern hospital setting.

Nine bay open plan treatment rooms

We have two open plan treatment rooms, each with nine bays. Each room contains therapist beds and lighting specifically designed for physiotherapy and other complimentary therapies treatments, training and examinations.

Diagnostic imaging suite

We have the very latest technology for radiographers including an x-ray machine and Lunar iDEXA scanner with the latest technology for accurately imaging bone density and body composition.

Specialist assessment and practice rooms

These rooms are primarily used for complementary therapies, counsellors and other healthcare professionals.

Artificial patients

The SimMan is a mannequin who looks just like a human being and can tell you when and where he is experiencing pain. SimMan can be programmed to simulate symptoms during training sessions using your experience and knowledge to help make him healthy again. Our Clinical Skills Suite also contains SimBaby, an infant version of SimMan who is available for paediatric medical training, and we also have a large number of Annies, Kellys and CPD mannequins and blood pressure training arms.
