'SimMan' can replicate ailments
We have a dedicated clinical skills room with fully functional equipment including hospital beds, moving and handling equipment and hoists.
Additionally the clinical skills room contains 'SimMan', a programmable life-like mannequin which can replicate ailments and illness and respond to care interventions.
Learning in our clinical skills room creates a safe learning environment for you to develop your skills to prepare you for when you go on a placement in a clinical setting. It replicates hospital settings so you'll be able to familiarise yourself with equipment and be well prepared for what to expect when you work in a real clinical environment.
