Science
If you are interested in one of our Science courses, then there is no better way to find out about the course than to come to one of our open days.
The forensics staff at Derby is really what makes the course. As well as being great lecturers, they have also offered great advice and support whenever I have needed it, course related or not.
”Ashleigh Whiffin, recent forensic science graduate.
Subject talks
You'll have the opportunity to attend a subject talk for your course which will be your first opportunity to meet some of the teaching team. They will talk you through exactly what the course is about, what is expected of you as a student on the course, the different assessments you'll need to complete, and also the specific content of the course by talking you through the modules.
A message from your lecturer
Have a sneak preview before the open day and get some preparation advice from the teaching team for your course. This means you can put names to faces on the day and read a welcome message from your lecturer.
Current students
The best way to find out information about your course is to talk to our current students. Talk to everyone and make sure you ask lots of questions! On the day you'll see our current student helpers - they're really friendly and will give you an honest insight into the University and life as a student here. Read some of their thoughts before you visit.
