Fantastic facilities
We've spent over £75m on facilities at our Derby and Buxton campuses, to ensure you have a great student experience. These include
- Markeaton street is our £21m building for arts, design, media and technology courses
- £23 million Devonshire Campus in Buxton. It has fantastic facilities for courses in: spa, hairdressing, beauty, culinary arts, hospitality, events, outdoor recreation, sports, tourism, and public services
- Academy - our £0.5 million Students' Union Bar, designed by our own students
- Our new all-weather floodlit pitch for hockey, football and rugby
- Specialist subject facilities with a £1.5m clinical skills suite, a specialist computing suite and a crime scene house.

Guaranteed accommodation
As a first year student you're guaranteed a place in our halls of residence as long as you apply for your room before 31 July in the year you want to start. It's great value for money and includes free broadband in your room.
Everything's close by
In Derby, all our sites are close together and our halls of residence are between the Campus and the city centre. You can easily get around by walking or by using the low cost Unibus service.
Buxton's a small town and our campus is right in the town centre with halls just a short walk away.
Social life
An important part of university is meeting new people, trying new things and enjoying yourself! There's always lots going on. The Students' Union run sports clubs and societies, as well as organising big events like the Freshers' and May Balls.
