Annual Report 2009/2010
This report gives a full overview of the work of the Education Liaison team.
It includes:
- Our pre-entry activity work with our Progression schools and colleges
- Our programme of tasters, masterclasses and challenge days run in conjunction with all four Faculties on both our campuses
- An analysis of the applications and enrolments of Progression applicants
- Our future developments
Highlights for 2009/2010 include:
- A 33% increase in partner schools and colleges
- 3872 individual applicants through the Progression route leading to 1004 enrolments
- 49% of both applicants and enrolling students were from WP postcode areas
- 347 separate Education Liaison activities accessed by over 26,000 participants from the full range of Year groups from Year 7 to Year 13 in schools and Levels 2 and 3 in colleges
- Attendance at 22 UCAS conventions engaging with a further 5000 potential students
- Our undergraduate students were involved in 265 events, 51 of which they led
The team have also recently been highly commended for innovation and creative thinking at the national HEIST (marketing in education) awards for our ground breaking approach to higher education and UCAS fairs.
